It's For A Reason

Trust in the LORD forever, for the LORD, the LORD Himself, is the Rock eternal.
— ISAIAH 26:4 (NIV)

I’m known to be a bit of a fast driver. I maintain safe distances and adjust for road conditions and whatnot, but sometimes I find it hard not going ten over the posted speed limit. On my drive into work, a truck abruptly changed lanes into mine causing me to slow down. I tried to go around it only to find an even slower truck in that lane causing me to drop below the posted speed limit. And wouldn’t you know, in the approaching service drive, a state trooper was parked, cloaked in the dark of the early morning, waiting to give tickets to commuters ignoring the posted speed limit.

Initially, I saw the trucks as hindering me, but they turned out to be a blessing. They prevented me from being caught in the state trooper’s speed trap. There are some things happening to you that you can’t appreciate right now. You may have trouble on your job, you keep getting pulled away from a task, you may only have enough to pay your bills, but you have to trust in the Lord that whatever you’re experiencing it’s for a reason. What you see as a hinder, God sent to save your life and keep you from falling into a trap. The next time you’re faced with opposition, don’t be quick to give Satan credit. God may be trying to tell you something. You will not always know what, who or why, but just trust in the Lord forever, the Rock eternal, and have faith it’s for a reason.

Heavenly Father, I will trust in You, the Rock eternal, forever. I have faith that everything You allow me to experience in my life is for a reason and I am in Your protection. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
