“You know that everyone in the province of Asia has deserted me, including Phygelus and Hermogenes. May the Lord show mercy to the household of Onesiphorus, because he often refreshed me and was not ashamed of my chains.”
Doing the right thing doesn’t always feel like the right thing. It can involve difficult choices, feelings of being deserted and alone, or heartache. Times like these can be unbearable, miserable and uncomfortable, but don’t lose heart, for GOD is strengthening you for your race.

GOD’s assignment for you may not always be understood by your family or friends. Don’t let this discourage you from doing the right thing. While you’re running your race, GOD will send someone to refresh you when you feel those you’ve once counted on desert you. Remember, you’re never alone. There’s always someone waiting along the way ready to be obedient to Christ just as you. And Just as Christ will send someone to refresh you, there will be times you will need to refresh others on their journey. Be compassionate to those running their race. Lend a helping hand. Bless others. Be available to be the someone that somebody needs.
