GOD Has Another Way

For God’s gifts and his call are irrevocable.
— ROMANS 11:29 (NIV)

I’ve sinned and made plenty mistakes. Through all of my mess-ups, one thing has remained true… Jesus forgave me and continues to use me. But what do you do when people you called friend don’t forgive you and look at you differently? When family doesn’t treat you like family? What about when you’re removed from the ministries you once participated in. When rumors supersede your reputation? When you feel thrown away? What then? Then… you grow closer to GOD!

When people throw you away, they throw you closer to Christ and believe me, He’ll catch you! When going through my divorce, and issues that led to it, I was not allowed to teach or participate in ministry. Even though it was my fault, I still felt abandoned. Thrown away. But GOD had another way to use my gift. He led me to write daily devotionals. And though my subscribers aren’t all made up of people that once supported me, it is full of people who love me and love GOD. Neither my gifts nor I were thrown away. I learned my gifts aren’t just for me, my family or friends. They are for GOD and His people and to be used as He sees fit. If you ever feel let down, betrayed or thrown away by people, look to GOD and focus on what He’s trying to do in your life. Your spiritual gift can’t be taken away from you, but GOD can use it another way.

Always a brighter side

Heavenly Father, thank You for loving me and forgiving me. Thank You for blessing me with a spiritual gift and using me as You see fit. I will focus on Your will and not my way. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
