Out of Harm's Way

The LORD will keep you from all harm—He will watch over your life; the LORD will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.
— PSALM 121:7 – 8 (NIV)

We all have done some things we should not have. (I know I have!) Whether it’s running a red light or letting your know-it-all co-worker have it, we all have those times we look back on and remorsefully say, “I shouldn’t have done that.” Not you? OK. We know we shouldn’t be smoking that blunt, drinking that fifth, having sex before they put a ring on it, or lying on the taxes just filed, but God has a way of keeping us out of harm's way.

Even when you didn’t have sense enough to make the right calls in your life, God was watching over your life. He was (and is) watching your coming and your going to get you to an expected end. Christ is ready and willing to make everything work out for your good, including your past, present, and future mistakes, but it still doesn’t provide you with a “get out of jail free” pass to do whatever you want with your life. Every decision you make should lead you toward and closer to achieving what God has planned for you. Decrease the amount of potential harm you produce into your life by executing God led decisions and let Christ do the rest.
