Let God Judge. You Love.

You, therefore, have no excuse, you who pass judgment on someone else, for at whatever point you judge another, you are condemning yourself, because you who pass judgment do the same things.
— ROMANS 2:1 (NIV)

I know this isn’t anything that you haven’t heard before, but we all make mistakes. Some knowingly, some with good intentions, while others we may have been clueless. If we are aware of the countless mistakes we’ve made, we should also be aware of how we felt on the other end of those mistakes and show Christ-like love and compassion toward one another.

Instead of passing judgment on someone else for the sin or mistake they may be experiencing, remember you aren’t perfect either. Remember how alone you felt while others frowned and turned their noses up at you. You don’t really know how that person arrived at where they are today and chances are, you may have done the same things too! It could’ve been you, if not for Jesus’ grace and mercy. Let God judge. You love. Love those who have sinned and help them turn from their mistake. Love those who may not know Christ loves them regardless of what they may have done. While you and I were yet sinners, Christ died for us. The least we can do is pass that love on to someone else in need.

I’m not perfect either

Heavenly Father, I have no excuse and I will no longer pass judgment on someone else. I do not want to condemn myself, so I choose today to let you judge while I love others as you have loved me. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
