This Ol' World

Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them. For everything in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—comes not from the Father but from the world.
— 1 JOHN 2:15, 16 (NIV)

The world can be a nice place at times, but remember, we’re just visiting. As believers, our real home is with Christ. While in the world, we’re ambassadors for Him and here to complete a mission. We’re here to fulfill the purpose GOD created in us. To change the world, not fall in love with it. To make it a better place, not fit in.

In order to accomplish what GOD called you to accomplish in this ol’ world you have to be OK with being the outlander, the foreigner, the standout, the peculiar and unique one. The only way you can complete this mission and bring about change on earth is by your constant display of GOD’s love, but your love for GOD is the very thing that prohibits you from fitting in by worldly standards. And I want to encourage you! It’s OK to hate what GOD hates. It’s right to disagree with what Christ disagrees with. It can be lonely at times, but Jesus said He’d never leave you nor forsake you. So, be what this ol’ world needs, not what it wants.

Love the creator

Heavenly Father, I love You. I am You ambassador. You have placed me in the world, but I am not of it. Protect me from my flesh, lust, and pride. Create in me a clean heart. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
