NO DAYS OFF

Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.
— 1 CORINTHIANS 15:58 (NIV)

A few of us have an extended weekend due to the holiday. Some people will spend it barbecuing and relaxing while others may use it for last minute preparations for the start of the new school year. Everyone needs a break every once in a while. Whether it’s one day or one week, days off are necessary.

While you are enjoying this Labor Day, I want to encourage and remind you that whatever you do for the Lord is not in vain. If no one has told you “Thank you” for your efforts in furthering the growth of God’s Kingdom or your work in the ministry, let me say, “Thank you!” I know there are no days off when operating in your purpose. Your mind is constantly thinking of ways to increase and improve your ministry. And though there may be no days off from kingdom building or doing God’s will, Christ will replenish and restore everything you have given and poured out of yourself. So please, continue to stand firm, let nothing move you, and always give yourself fully to the work of the Lord, because your labor is not in vain.

Happy Labor Day

Heavenly Father, I will stand firm, let nothing move me, and continue to give myself fully to Your work because I know my labor is not in vain. Replenish and restore me, Lord. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
