I recently changed my diet, started working out, and doing cardio because my blood pressure was getting too close to that “no-no” zone and I wanted to improve my health overall (i.e. allergies, asthma, reduce chances of cancer, etc.). As bad as I wanted to lift the big weights for quick results or run 30 minutes straight on the treadmill, I had to work up to that gradually by lifting light at first and running 10 minutes, then 15, then 20. Soon, I was able to do more because I took the time to work up to my true potential, reach my goal, and achieve the desired results.

People tell me all the time they are discouraged from attending church because they are intimidated by others that “know” a lot of scriptures. Just like exercising, you have to work up to your potential gradually. Start by meditating on the one scripture you know and do what it says. Through your obedience to God with that one scripture, He will reveal the next, and the next, then the next, and before you know it, you’ll be moving toward reaching your godly potential and getting the desired results.
Study one. Do one.
