We’ve got fake news. We’ve got alternative facts. We’ve got made up statistics and news networks being paid by sponsors to spew and support their agendas. Respectable journalism is being replaced by highly emotional and opinionated bloggers and self-appointed experts. For every tidbit of information uncovered, you can find another resource to debunk it. Where does one go to know what’s real? Where do we turn to know the truth?

Turn to Jesus. God’s Word is the truth. It will tell you what’s happening now and what’s going to happen. It will guide you in who to listen to and who to rely on. You will never hear me say, “You can read the bible for yourself.” Sure, you can study the bible and receive revelation, but God specifically gave us preachers and teachers to feed us with knowledge and understanding. With that, if you can’t find what you’re being fed in the bible, don’t eat it! Only accept the truth, for it is the only thing that will sanctify you and make you free.
