One More Day

‘Therefore keep watch because you do not know when the owner of the house will come back—whether in the evening, or at midnight, or when the rooster crows, or at dawn. If he comes suddenly, do not let him find you sleeping.’
— MARK 13:35 - 36 (NIV)

Friends! Thank you so much for your responses to Thursday’s devotional, “Tell What God’s Done.” I was truly blessed and encouraged. So much so, that I want to share a few responses over the next couple of days in hope that these testimonies inspire and encourage you as well…

“God has simply allowed me to see another day!  After being diagnosed with Stage III Breast Cancer and surviving 10 years in remission, I am a testimony for one more day.  I was diagnosed with a brain aneurysm with slow growth, I am a testimony for one more day.  God continues to provide me one more day to tell my story of how He covers me with HIS Grace and HIS Mercy! I am allowed one more day to simply say THANK YOU LORD!”

You don’t know what day Christ is coming back for His church. You don’t know when He will call you home or what each day will bring. Each day you awake to God’s sunshine while on this earth, know that you are blessed with one more day. You’ve been given one more day today to tell God thank you and to show someone the love of Christ. You’ve been given one more day to appreciate everything He has done for you and to bless someone because you’re blessed. Be kind to one another. Acknowledge God’s work around you. Live in your purpose. Run that marathon. Take that class. Run for that public office. Start that business. Write that book. God has given you one more day. Use it to glorify Him.
