ALL ON YOU

We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making His appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.
— 2 CORINTHIANS 5:20 (NIV)

In the old testament, God relied on his prophets to get His message out to people. In the new testament, God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to show us the Way. Today… yep! You saw where this was going! Today, God wants to use us.

Ever hear people say, “Church people ain’t right” or “Churchy people are hypocrites”? They are able to say those things because of a bad encounter they’ve had with one, maybe two, people that “go to church.” The first encounter the unsaved and unchurched have with God maybe through you. You’re the first Jesus some people will ever experience. Yep! It’s all on you! As a believer, you become an ambassador for Christ. What you say, what you do, and how you treat others, represents Him and the entire church. It’s quite a cross to bear, but it’s possible and rewarding. If you ever need help as an ambassador, God gave you some pretty encouraging words to refer to : )

Heavenly Father, thank You for choosing me as Your ambassador. I will follow Your Way so people can follow me and see You. Strengthen for the task, Lord. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
