“Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love Him.”
God cannot be tempted by evil and therefore does not tempt us. We are only tempted by our own selfish, or evil, desires. What we see as temptation, God sees as a test. A test which reveals if we are going to trust in Him by doing what His Word says or if we’re going to give into our desire, miss out on a blessing, and maybe recite 1 John 1:9 later.
It does take practice and steadfastness to tell ourselves “NO!” when faced with opportunities that contradict and conflict with God’s plan, but if you persevere under your trials *|FNAME|* , and withstand your test, you will be blessed and receive your crown of life that God promised you. This blessing is not only about you, but about your decedents as well. When you defeat your temptation and stand the test, you not only become blessed, but you also break generational curses. You give new life to your family, not death. You release blessings instead of curses. When your next test comes, think about the love Christ has for you and the crown of life that awaits you.
