Busy Being Busy

When the apostles returned, they reported to Jesus what they had done. Then He took them with Him and they withdrew by themselves to a town called Bethsaida, but the crowds learned about it and followed Him. He welcomed them and spoke to them about the kingdom of God, and healed those who needed healing.
— LUKE 9:10 – 11 (NIV)

Throughout the course of a day, we can become consumed by what’s on or agenda that we forget our godly agenda. We have so much on our minds that we can miss God opportunities He placed right in our paths. Believe me, I’m guilty of it too. I’ve set up a meeting before and someone wanted to carry on a 15 minute conversation 5 minutes before the start of my meeting or when I’m in a rush to leave work and someone stops me with questions. NO! I gotta go!

As busy as Jesus was, He always made time for His Father’s business. He welcomed crowds of people and took time to speak to them about the kingdom of God. He even healed those who needed healing. We can learn from Christ and make sure we take time to meet the needs of others. It is there God wants to bless us with increase and favor. Make sure you’re never too busy being busy that you miss out on God’s business.

Heavenly Father, thank You for Your example in kingdom business. I will make time to speak to others concerning You and never be too busy for Your work. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
