Make Room

While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped Him in cloths and placed Him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them.
— LUKE 2:6 – 7 (NIV)

The Christmas season is here and we know what that means... Presents! We’re buying gifts for the people we love. Some people buy things for people they don’t even like, but it’s just a nice gesture (and plus they don’t want to be outdone in case they buy them something). Then it’s gift wrapping, writing and sending Christmas cards, the employee Christmas party, cooking Christmas dinner… Aughhh! Forgot to buy someone a present, so now it’s back to the mall. We can get so consumed with Christmas activities that we forget to make room for Christmas!

Tell your family and friends how to make room by clicking HERE

With all the running around town you have to do this time of year, don’t forget to make room for Jesus. This is the time of year to celebrate His birth. In your gift giving, remember you give because He gave. In your numerous trips to the stores, remember it is He that is sustaining you and keeping you safe. As you share life with others, laughing, reminiscing, exchanging gifts, remember to make room for Christ and invite Him into your Christmas activities. Be the one who brings up the name Jesus. Be the one who pauses the holiday movie to say a prayer of thanks to Christ. Open your heart and make room.

Heavenly Father, I have opened my heart to You and made room for You. Thank You for giving me Your life so that I may have life and give to others. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
