Keep Pushing

We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time. Not only so, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption to sonship, the redemption of our bodies.
— ROMANS 8:22 – 23 (NIV)

My sisters in Christ, I won’t pretend to know for myself, but I’ve heard childbirth can be a pretty painful experience. I’ve been told the contractions can cause you to double over in pain. I’ve also heard, during labor, it helps to have a good coach there to encourage you and remind you to do the basics. “Breath, breath! Almost there. Keep pushing!” The most miraculous thing I've heard though, is after the contractions, pushing, and labor, the pain is instantly gone once the child is birthed. God is something else!

Whether you’re a woman or a man, there’s something God wants to birth into this world through you. You’re going to have to go through some minor setbacks sometimes when you least expect it. You may double over in pain some days, but God is working something in you. Make sure you accept the coaching from the Holy Spirit that reminds you of God’s training for times like these. “Pray! Study! All things are going to work out for your good! Keep pushing! Keep pushing!” Then just when you think you can’t take any more at work, at school, at home, in your church, in life, God reveals His plan to you and the pain ends. Trouble don’t last always. Weeping endures for a night. Look forward to the joy that awaits you. Your day is coming, but for now, keep pushing.

Heavenly Father, thank You for not placing more on me than I can bear. I know that the whole creation has being groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time, but You are there for me through the entire process. Create Your ministry in me, Lord. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
