I remember playing basketball as a kid in the neighborhood. I thought I was pretty good. There was a kid who often didn’t get picked to play. When no one else picked him to play, I’d put him on my team knowing with my ability, I could make him a better player by setting him up for easy shots. Even if his contribution seemed little to others, it was everything our team needed to win.

God is holy and He has called you holy. He even told you, “Be holy, because I am holy.” That may seem like a tall order! He’s God after all and you’re just little ol’ you compared to him. The good thing is, God doesn’t expect you to be holy all by yourself. He’s called you, placed you on His team, and He’s prepared opportunities in your life for you to be holy. Being on God’s team allows you to learn how to be holy from the greatest teacher you could ever have. So pay attention daily, because He’s always giving lessons!
