CROSS THE TRACKS

Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness.
— MATTHEW 9:35 (NIV)

Someone that doesn’t look like you, sounds like you, thinks like you, walks like you, talks like you, lives like you, smells like you, dresses like you, eats like you or acts like you needs to hear about Jesus from you. It may prove uncomfortable at first and even a bit of a challenge, but God wants you to cross the tracks to reach those He’s called you to reach and introduce to Christ.

This weekend, I learned that Jesus has no limits. As His ambassadors, we can’t limit who we teach, heal or proclaim God’s goodness to. We have to cross the tracks and venture into places to engage people we normally would not. Matthew recorded Jesus’ example as Christ went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness. Racism, social injustices, and other evils of the world will try to quench your spirit and mission God has for you, but remember you have overcome the world because greater is He that is in you. So, if you feel or become uncomfortable, good! You’re right where God wants you to be so you will have to lean and depend on Him.

No limit, soldier!

Heavenly Father, I will go where You tell me to go in order to teach, proclaim Your goodness, and heal every disease and sickness according to Your power that works in me. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
