Everyone Wins

Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others.
— PHILIPPIANS 2:3 -4 (NKJV)

Stephen Covey has a book called The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. The fourth habit he presents is to Think Win-Win. He writes, “Win-win sees life as a cooperative arena, not a competitive one. Win-win is a frame of mind and heart that constantly seeks mutual benefit in all human interactions. Win-win means agreements or solutions are mutually beneficial and satisfying.”

You don’t have to be jealous of anyone or waste life wanting what someone else has. God has enough blessings for you, them, and me. What God has for you, is for you, and one way of unlocking your blessing is by helping someone receive theirs. Scriptures says we are fitly joined together in the body of Christ. So when you’re blessed, I’m blessed. It’s a win-win! Be sure to celebrate when others are successful. Cheer on and esteem others while they’re running their race. Because there will come a time when you’re the one everyone is cheering for.

Good looking out

Heavenly Father, remove any spirit of selfish ambition or conceit in me. Strengthen me to esteem others better than myself. I am blessed and will not only look out for my own interest, but also for the interests of others. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
