“The LORD is with me; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?”
There are several insurance companies out there vying for your business. They hire celebrities to do their bidding and create catchy catch phrases and jingles to help you distinguish them from their competition. I’m not even insured by Nationwide, but I recognize them by their jingle; “Nationwide is on your side.” Through their campaign, they want you to believe no matter the situation or circumstance, you’re covered because they are by your side.
As believers, we should be very confident knowing God is by our side! There is no need to be afraid of people or things because we’re covered by Jesus. David said when he was hard pressed, he cried to the Lord, and He brought him to a spacious place. God will deliver us too to a place where no one can stress us and no thing can harm us. In our time of trouble, we have no need to be afraid. Cry out to the Lord. He’s always by our side.
