“Don’t you remember that when I was with you I used to tell you these things?”
Don’t act all surprised! You knew these times were coming. How? God told you in His word. You knew men would become lovers of themselves. You knew there would be false prophets and some of your friends would worship things other than God. You knew people would reject Jesus and you while evangelizing. You knew you’d be persecuted and experience tough times. But. You also know you have the victory through Christ Jesus!
God wants you to be prepared for these times and not to lose your mind when things are falling apart all around you. People who lack God’s knowledge are going to need someone to go to for answers and they very well can’t come to you if you’re falling apart yourself! Reading about the end times in scripture can be alarming, but remember Christ made you a promise. You know weeping endures only for a night. You know joy comes in the morning. You know greater is He that is in you than he that’s in the world. You know that Jesus causes you to triumph. The Holy Spirit dwells in you to bring God’s words to your remembrance. Be sure to “feed it.”
