“The God-setting-things-right that we read about has become Jesus-setting-things-right for us. And not only for us, but for everyone who believes in Him... He got us out of the mess we’re in and restored us to where He always wanted us to be. And He did it by means of Jesus Christ…God sets things right. He also makes it possible for us to live in His rightness…What we’ve learned is this: God does not respond to what we do; we respond to what God does. We’ve finally figured it out. Our lives get in step with God and all others by letting Him set the pace, not by proudly or anxiously trying to run the parade.”
Evil is seemingly running rampant more and more every day, but know that God is still faithful. He has a way of setting things right during times when we can’t even begin to comprehend what’s going on around us. God sees the injustices and treachery we are experiencing. What we have to remember is God does not respond to what we do; we respond to what God does. When we realize this, God makes it possible to live in His rightness in what otherwise could be unbearable.
Don’t give up on God or humanity just yet! He has placed the solution to the condition of this world in the body of Christ. Continue to be in lockstep with God and let Him set the pace for getting us out of the mess we’re in and to restore us to where He’s always wanted us to be. Allow Christ to use you and trust God will set things right through us.
