“Philip said, ‘Lord, show us the Father and that will be enough for us.’”
One of Jesus’ teachings to His disciples was that if they saw Him, then they saw the Father. If they knew Him, then they knew God. But that wasn’t enough for Philip. He still insisted that if Jesus showed them the Father then that would be enough.
Sometimes, when we aren’t careful, we can be the same way concerning how Jesus chooses to bless us. He blesses us every day, but if it’s not in the manner we prayed for or expected it can easily be overlooked. When we have a bad day and things don’t go as well as we’d hope, don’t forget He allowed you to see another day. When you’re fighting a cold on a day you have to go to work, don’t forget He gave you strength to get out of bed. Make an effort to see your blessing in every situation and I guarantee it will be enough.
