“If anyone will not welcome you or listen to your words, leave that home or town and shake the dust off your feet.”
I was visiting one of my favorite internet sites and came across a video where a guy was carrying a sign and wearing a “FREE HUGS” t-shirt. He was offering free hugs to anyone who needed or would receive one. (You can see the video by clicking here.) The first group of people was not very receptive, but the second group welcomed the idea and received him and his gift with open arms. As a matter of fact, some of the people really needed a hug and held on to him as they wept. So powerful!
When someone doesn’t accept your gift, purpose, or the message God gave you, don’t give up or quit. Dust yourself off and keep trying! Find other people. Try different groups. Someone needs and is waiting for you to deliver what Christ put in you. If you can bring change to the life of just one person, heaven will rejoice, and you will be blessed because of your diligence. Someone needs a spiritual hug from you.
