Ready To Do Whatever

Remind the people to be subject to rulers and authorities, to be obedient, to be ready to do whatever is good…
— TITUS 3:1 (NIV)

Many people struggle with the idea of today’s leaders. Some people wonder exactly what the tithes and offerings are spent on, while others wonder which political party really cares enough to represent them. It can become stressful trying to figure out who’s doing right or if the intentions of a person are true, but once you realize the only person you can control is you it will help you gain some perspective on life. Jesus says a tree is known by the fruit that it bears, and God gave us pastors after His own heart to lead us. If you have any doubt concerning leadership or who you should be obedient to, don’t rack your brain or judge out of emotions. Use God’s word as your template.

Is the direction you’re being led biblical? Can you find what your leader is telling you in scripture? If so, focus on doing what is good and allow God to deal with the hearts of people. Attend bible study and prayer service. Attend your neighborhood community meetings. Devote your energy to being obedient and fulfilling the purpose God has for you. That is where God’s blessings await you!

Heavenly Father, I will follow those You have sent to lead me and be obedient to them. I am ready to do whatever is good and pleasing to You. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
