Death is not a topic a lot of people are comfortable discussing. The thing about death is it doesn’t care if you have the conversation or not; it’s still coming! Scripture describes our bodies as earthly tents that will eventually be destroyed. No one pitches a tent with the intent on staying there forever. Normally there’s a specific purpose one wants to accomplish during the usage of a tent. Whether you’re vacationing, camping, or hunting, you have plans to complete your purpose and then pack up and return home.
God never intended for you to live in your body forever. He released your spirit into your body to complete a specific purpose on earth and to return home to your eternal house in heaven. Don’t live your life in fear of death. Jesus defeated death when He gave you eternal life. Instead, use your time to plan and accomplish your purpose. After all, there’s nothing worse than a wasted trip.
