Clap Back

No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn.
— Isaiah 54:17a (NKJV)

Clap Back (v): 1. refers to one's proclivity to respond to provocation with expediency. 2. If someone comes at you or disses you, you come back at them.

When you are a believer, you don’t have to waste your life spending time trying to clap back at those who do wrong by you. Scripture says that weapons will be formed against you, but those weapons won’t be successful. “But they’re spreading rumors about me!” No weapon. “You don’t know what they did to me. I have to get back at them!” No weapon. “I have to tell my side!” No weapon. The more you clap back, the more you increase the chances of the weapon formed to be successful in what it was created to do against you. Believe vengeance belongs to God, remain silent, pray, let Jesus fight your battles, and allow Him to clap back. He can handle your situation much better than you ever could.

He commands armies!

Most gracious Father, thank You for not allowing the weapons formed against me to prosper. I will remain focused on You and Your plan for me as You condemn every tongue that rises against me. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
