The Bible refers to believers as “the body of Christ” because He designed us to work together. In the body, we each are gifted in several areas to accomplish one goal – bring souls to Christ.
Do not lose hope while you are spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ. Sometimes, your job is to plant the seed, while the next believer will water it. Planting and watering is your purpose. Only Jesus can save. Your reward is in lifting His name. So when you are evangelizing, don’t become discouraged if someone doesn’t accept your invitation to Christ the first time around. Remember this isn’t a one-man show. You have co-workers in God’s service. Have faith that another believer will water the seed after you have planted it.
