Realize Jesus

At this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there, but she did not realize that it was Jesus.
— John 20:14 (NIV)

Over the years I’ve found that when times are rough or not going as planned, believers turn their spirituality up a couple of notches. We pray more. We string a couple of Sunday services together. We might even go to prayer service! This reflects our belief that Jesus is there for us during hard times. As believers, however, it’s important we also realize the Jesus that is able to bring us out of those rough times is the same Jesus that sustains us during the good times.

When things are going well, we sometimes forget to spend time with Jesus. Don’t let the bad times be the only times you realize His importance in your life. Realize that He’s there every step of the way. When He gave you the house of your dreams. When He gave you the unexpected promotion on your job. Even in the things we take for granted, like bringing you safely to work, school, and home again. When you take the time to realize every single thing Jesus has done for you just in the last hour alone, you see Jesus for who He is. The rough times don’t seem as rough, and it’s easier to spend time with Him.

I see You at work Jesus!
