Give Jesus

The Peter said, ‘Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.’
— Acts 3:6 (KJV)

Most of the times when we think of meeting the needs of people, we usually think about financially helping them. If you’re driving through the city or walking you may encounter someone less fortunate asking for a monetary blessing.  I normally don’t carry cash, but I sometimes have a bag of chips or snack in my car for my kids after school. And though it’s not what they asked for the offering is still appreciated.

As believers we may not always have what people are asking of us, but we always have what they need – Jesus. Don’t miss the opportunity this week to give someone the gift of Christ. When a family member is grieving over the loss of a loved one or a friend is stressed about their job, you may not be able to directly solve their problem, but you can direct them to the problem solver. Remind them that Jesus has their answer and is a God of provision. And the great thing about the gift of Christ is after you give it they can use it over and over again!

Heavenly Father, I thank You for being the answer to every problem. You are the gift I will lift and offer to the world. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
