“There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.”
In today’s scripture, we learn that there is no fear in love. John also tells us in previous scriptures that God is love. So, let’s substitute the word God for the word love in today’s scripture:
There is no fear in GOD. But perfect GOD drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in GOD.
God is not here to punish you, but to reveal to you what love is. He wants a love relationship with you. God doesn’t want you to live a life pleasing to Him out of fear or obligation, but because you love Him. The bible was not written to control you, but to grow you closer to God and for you to know who He created you to be. The love of God drives out fear in your life. Don’t be afraid to fail. Don’t punish yourself when you make a mistake. Line up with God and seek His guidance and direction. God loves you unconditionally and wants the best for you.
No fear.
