“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart…”
On this day, God brought me into the world through my earthly parents. God didn’t pick yesterday or tomorrow to release me, but He chose today. Some people grumble at the idea of celebrating birthdays, while others choose to celebrate the entire month. This year, I choose to have a specific conversation with God. Not just to give Him thanks for allowing me to see another birthday, but to get a progress report.
I want to know if I am closer to being what He imagined when He formed me in my mother’s womb. I want know if although I’ve made mistakes, is what He set me apart for still in reach. This birthday, I seek His approval and not the approval of man. Today, I want heaven to throw a birthday party for me that will last an eternity, celebrating my significance to Christ and His plan for my life. I find peace and joy knowing that today is special because God thought of me on this day.
