Higher and Higher

As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.
— Isaiah 55:9 (NIV)

God doesn’t think like us. (I’ll wait for your “Thank You, Jesus!”) The way He does things is also different from the way we do things. God has the huge advantage of knowing how our story ends before it even begins. He is the author and finisher of our faith. Knowing this as believers we should strive to do and understand the word of God, instead of trying to understand the “why” God.

Don’t question why God has you in the place you’re in today, but rather try to understand who God is. God is love, and He loves you. So, when you’re in a difficult situation it’s ok to ask questions like, “Is this because of a decision I made?” “What does God want me to do while I’m here?” There may or may not be fault to blame or a finger to point. Regardless of where the blame lies, trust that God is working on you in an area that you didn’t know needed work before He blesses you to your next level. Let me reassure you His thoughts are always of you.

Heavenly Father, I know Your ways are higher than my ways and Your thoughts are too. I trust You with my life. Thank You for always thinking of me and making ways for me. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
