We live in an “I want it now” world. We want a gourmet meal, at quick, microwaveable speeds, without the quality of the meal suffering. We expect fast food lines to be fast and our 15 minute oil change to be 15 minutes. With this way of thinking, patience is becoming an extinct virtue for many of us. The ideas of having hope, goal oriented planning, and short term sacrificing for long term gains are becoming a thing of the past. We. Want. It. Now.
Don’t allow the “I want it now” trend to enter your spiritual life or relationship with Christ. God still relies on your patience, hope, and faithfulness in Him. God is not slow in keeping His promise to you. He knows just exactly what you need when you need it most. Be confident knowing God’s timing is perfect and He’s always right on time. You only need to have patience. Your “now” is coming.
