“Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ.”

The world has an agenda that it doesn’t mind saturating every stream of media with. Facebook tells you what’s popular, Twitter tells you what to say, Instagram tells you how to look, and videos tell you how to behave. When you’re constantly reminded of this agenda, who reminds you of God’s agenda?
Our churches have to provide examples that doesn’t just tell people who they are or how to live, but shows them. We need to take the time to mentor some and explain how we dealt with peer pressure, drugs, sex, and other controversial issues people are facing today. The bible offers you and I many examples and testimonies of how temptation and other adverse situations were overcome. It’s time for the church to return the favor by sharing our story with others and being the example Christ called us to be.
