Prepared in Advance

For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
— EPHESIANS 2:10 (NIV)

Martin Luther King, Jr. once said, “You don’t have to see the whole staircase to take the first step.” To make this kind of decision in life, it requires you to have faith the size of a mustard seed. With mustard seed faith, Jesus said you’d be able to speak to mountains and tell them to move from here to there. And that’s what you need; the power to tell whatever mountain is blocking you from taking the first step to get out of the way!

The good work God has for you to do, He’s already prepared for you, in advance, to be successful. You only need to take the first step. The thing you love to do and are most passionate about, God has gifted you to do. You not only enjoy doing it, but excel in it, and find fulfillment in doing it. This is what He created you for. And not only does doing this good work change your life, but it changes the lives of others around you. You could choose to keep God’s gift to yourself, but the world would be the lesser because of it.

Take the first step
