See Clearly Now

…Forgetting what’s behind me… All of us, then, who are mature should take such a view of things. And if on some point you think differently, that too God will make clear to you.
— PHILLIPIANS 3:13 - 15 (NIV)

It can be hard not thinking about your past while trying to ignore the obstacles ahead of you. How do you push through yesterday’s failures while today’s door is being slammed shut and locked before you? What do you do when people remind you of who you used to be and the person you’re trying to become seems hopelessly unreachable? What do you? You change your view.

Your view may be on how much money you’ll make, when it should be on pursuing a career pleasing to God. Your view may be on becoming a person accepted by those around you, when it should be on Christ’s acceptance. When you seek God first and His righteousness, He promises to add everything to your life you need. That includes money, acceptance, and love. Seek Him by forgetting the view behind you and pressing ahead toward the goal to win the prize which God has for you in Christ Jesus. Exercise your faith to think differently when your view gets distorted. God will make everything clear.
