Yesterday was my first day at work after the holiday season, and I returned to my desk in pain. As I attempted to adjust my workspace to accommodate my pain, I said to God, “This isn’t how I imagined starting my New Year. I acknowledge You as the head of my life. I’ve claimed all of the blessings from the scriptures I’ve read. What gives?” Immediately, Paul’s revelation came to mind, reminding me that God’s grace is sufficient.
Your year may not be off to the immaculate start you planned in 2016, but know that God’s grace is sufficient for you and His power is made perfect in your time of weakness. When life doesn’t go as planned, don’t give up. Instead, rejoice in Christ all the more! As you give God praise in your current state, Christ’s power will rest on you. Make your plans for the New Year align with Christ’s plans, and have faith in the thoughts of love and peace God has toward you.
