“You will also declare a thing, and it will be established for you…”
Today we celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. His role in the Civil Rights Era will forever be remembered for generations to come, but perhaps his most memorable contribution was his “I Have a Dream” speech. The words he uttered during this speech had a lasting effect on the people of that time, and they still reach people today. Dr. King spoke of the world he wanted to live in, not just for himself, but also for his children and the children of others.
The “I Have a Dream” speech was more than a dream – it was a reality Dr. King declared. Realize today that your words have power. Tell your life how it should look according to God’s word. Declare blessings and peace over you, your family, and the world. Speak life into dead situations. Speak joy through sorrowful moments. Declare healing over the social illnesses that still plague our land. God has given you the power to declare a thing, and He said it would be established for you. I challenge you today to tell hell “No,” and declare victory over the enemy today!
