Another Do-Over

…being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.
— Philippians 1:6 (NIV)

This morning while taking my kids to school, I realized that a lot of people can’t drive. As I safely navigated my vehicle around others, a couple of drivers became upset with my ability to maneuver more efficiently than them using my four-wheel drive. One driver even flashed his high beam lights at me, which really irritated me. To show my irritation, I flashed my hazard lights and began to drive extremely slow in front of him, and when he finally passed me…let’s just say if looks could kill, the glare I gave him would imprison me! After dropping my kids off, I got a call from the school’s office saying my daughter forgot her shoes. I had to use the same exact path to go all the way back home to get her shoes. It was like God telling me, “Now, try it again. Only this time – do it right!”

God has a good work for you to do, and He will continue to present you with opportunities to carry them out until you get it right. Open your heart and mind to Christ so you will be able to realize when God is giving you another chance. God wants to forgive you for your wrongs and see you complete His work. The only time a mistake is permanent, is when you don’t learn from it and correct it.

Dust ya self off and try again

Heavenly Father, I have confidence that the good work you began in me, You will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. Thank You for giving me another chance. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
