“Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over … every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”
When God created you, He created you for a specific purpose in life. He also gave you a unique gift to accomplish this purpose. Life, nevertheless, can at times prove to be trying. You may witness the success of others your age and wonder, “When is it going to be my time.” Or, you may be in a period of stagnation or disappointment where nothing you try seems to work out—school, career, personal relationships—nothing seems to go right.
Whatever your current circumstances, God did not create you to be defeated in life, but to dominate. You were created in the image of God. There is no failure in Him, and with Christ, there is no failure in you.
God shows His infinite power by speaking things into existence. We have this same power, but it’s up to us to use it. Speak to those things in your life that come against your dominion. Be empowered by God’s spirit, and command those things to their rightful position beneath you. As you begin to walk in your gifted area with God, you will find favor with everything He created. Doors that you did not know existed will begin to open. Opportunities will become more abundant and fulfilling. After all, you were created in the image of Greatness…
…so, act like it!
