Mission: Possible

But Jesus looked at them and said to them, ‘With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.’
— Matthew 19:26 NKJV

After a game of basketball, a friend and I were leaving the gym. There had been a spring rainfall, and the parking lot was littered with large puddles. I noticed my friend was purposely stepping into each puddle of water as I navigated around them. He gently tested each puddle with a leading footstep. After the fifth or sixth time, I interrupted our conversation and asked why was he intentionally stepping in them. He said, “Van, I’m trying to walk on water!”

At the time I laughed, but my friend had sound reasoning. He was so focused in his spiritual walk with Christ, that he only thought it was fitting that it should manifest itself in the physical!

In our daily struggles, conflicts, and obstacles, it may become difficult to see better days. You may feel like you’re faced with situations that are simply impossible get through. But Jesus wants you to remove your focus off your situation and on to Him. He has the solution to whatever problem you’re faced with. And though it may seem impossible at first, allow your spiritual walk to manifest itself in the physical and remember that with God all things are possible.

We all should attempt to walk on the puddles in our lives. Otherwise, we may never find out we can.

Eyes on Jesus

Dear Lord, I thank you for making all things possible with you. I know you will make a way for me even when I see no way. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
— This is my prayer
