This Little Light

In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
— Matthew 5:16 (NIV)

God created each one of us special. The gift He placed in us helps us to reach goals in our personal lives, but God uniquely gifted us to bring about change in the lives of others.

The gift of God is aided by the talents and abilities we possess. You may use your gift to start your own business, make the basketball team, or teach in a classroom. And while your gift may bless you with a great career or financial stability, Jesus wants to use your gift to bless others.

Your success, no matter how small or big to you, is a testament of God’s full goodness. Sometimes, Jesus places us in undesirable positions and situations in life so that others can witness God’s light in you. The way you deal with a disgruntled customer or the way you handle your workload under pressure are just some examples of how we can project God’s light.

The next time you find yourself in an uncomfortable environment, remember that you are on a mission for Christ to shine His light in this dark world. Others need to see the goodness of God.

I’m gonna let it shine

Thank You God for using me to glorify You. I will shine my light so that others see You in me through my good deeds. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
— This is my prayer
