23rd Psalm Series - Day 6
“Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.”
God wants you to experience His goodness and mercy. Goodness is the favor of God through the comfort and blessings He provides, while His mercy is fully expressed through the sacrifice and love of His son, Jesus Christ. Because of Jesus, God does not allow us to experience the punishment deserving of our sin, but rather forgives us for it and gives us another chance.
God is pursuing you. He wants to change your life for the better. His goodness and mercy are following you wherever you go and no matter what you do. You only need to accept Him. Allow Christ to enter your heart. You don’t need to know every scripture today, you just need to take the first step toward Him. He’s not angry with you and it’s not too late. He’s waiting for you. God loves you and want you in His presence forever.
