Wait For The Lord

27th Psalm Series - Day 14

Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD.
— Psalm 27:14 (NIV)

It’s amazing how God will challenge you in the areas you commit to work on. As I complete this 27th Psalm Series, I realized that everything I wrote about He made sure I believed and exercised for myself. Each time I wanted to lash out at my enemy (but didn’t), and every time I wanted to give up on life (but didn’t), Jesus was right there to strengthen me through this word and show me His face. It wasn’t easy. It sure wasn’t comfortable, but I relied on God’s word and the support of positive family and friends to get me through. And…I feel great!

When you’re feeling the weight of the world on your shoulders at work, alone in life, or think that no one cares about you, I want to encourage you today to wait for the Lord. Not only does He love you and care about you, but He will send people into your life to do the same. Step out in faith today knowing Jesus will handle your situation. Be strong in His strength. Find refuge in His word you’ve hidden in your heart. God will not allow you to suffer more than you can bear. Challenge your spiritual patience today. Wait for the Lord.

This type of waiting is not idle

Heavenly Father, I thank You for the strength You’ve given me to be strong. I thank You for Your word that I have hidden in my heart. I will continue to do Your work while I wait for You Lord. In Jesus’ name. Amen
