A Losing Battle

27th Psalm Series - Day 12

Do not turn me over to the desire of my foes, for false witnesses rise up against me, spouting malicious accusations.
— Psalm 27:12 (NIV)

It’s coming. You can’t stop it. You can’t prevent it. It’s inevitable! Someone is going to lie on you. It shouldn’t come as a surprise. Scripture warns us that as believers, we will suffer persecution. You don’t have to waste time fighting the losing battle of trying to stop them, figure out why you’re their target, or even trying to prove them wrong.

Realize that your time is valuable. Use it finding opportunities to be a good person. God will fight your battles for you. He will not allow your enemies to have their way with you. Commit to using your time wisely on things that make your life and the lives of others better. People lied on Christ. He healed the blind. People falsely accused Him. He died for you and me. Maintain your character of royal priesthood while the efforts of those trying to destroy you only lift you higher.

What time is it?

Lord, thank You for not turning me over to the desire of my foes. Even when people lie against me, I will focus on You plan for me. Thank You for Your protection and for Your love. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
— This is my prayer
