Lift Up for What

And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.
— John 12:32 (KJV)

One of the most common Christian activities believers find uncomfortable is evangelizing. When I ask individuals why, the common threads in their reasoning are being unsure of how to start the conversation and the fear of being rejected.

Starting a conversation is easy once you get to know a person. If you take time to learn about the person you are evangelizing to, you may find you have a lot in common. Common ground is a great catalyst for conversation. And remember, you can never fail when you’re lifting the name of Christ. Don’t confuse your responsibility with Christ’s responsibility. Your job as a believer is to “lift” the name of Jesus and He will do the “drawing.” Today, tell someone about how good God is and leave the rest to Him.

I gotta tell somebody!

Lord, I will lift Your name for all to hear and see. I will share my testimony of Your goodness so that their hearts will be prepared when You draw them to You. Thank You God for not giving me the spirit of fear, but power, love, and a sound mind. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
— This is my prayer
