As a child my mother taught me to take care of the things that belonged to me. I don’t think she thought this particular lesson would go as far as it did. I took pride in neatly staging my toys on display for all to see. I even kept my school clothes in good condition. Even to this day I have toys – I mean, adult collector action figures – still in their original packaging and shirts that I wore years ago in college. It was very important that I took good care of my belongings. Can you imagine how God feels about His belongings?
Everything and everyone belongs to God, whether they acknowledge Him or not. As a believer, you can find refuge in knowing God will take excellent care of you. When others try to misuse you or life becomes really challenging, find peace knowing you belong to a God that thinks the world of you and will take excellent care of you. He has you on display for the world to see and He will keep you for years to come. Nothing outside His hands can harm you.
