(A spiritual walk through Ephesians Chapter 1 and 2)
The Apostle Paul begins writing to the church at Ephesus with a Holy greeting. He opens the chapter introducing himself to be chosen by the will of God to be an apostle of Christ Jesus. He then announces who he is writing this chapter to: “God’s holy people in Ephesus, who are faithful followers of Christ Jesus.” Paul then speaks the gifts of grace and peace over those he is connected to.

Who do you introduce yourself as each day? This is an important question because it determines what you are expecting to receive and achieve. Paul introduced himself as “chosen,” and you too have been chosen by God. And like Paul, when you introduce yourself each day, that activates your God-given purpose and connects you with the source of grace and peace. When you receive grace and peace from Jesus Christ, then can speak it over those you’re connected to - family, friends, community, and even your situation. But it all starts with introducing yourself to the world knowing who you are in Christ.
Who does God say you are?
Heavenly Father, I am chosen by You. And because I am chosen by You, I receive Your grace and peace today. I will not accept who the world says I am. I will tell the world who You say I am! I am expecting great things in my life and in the lives of those I am connected to. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
