Consistency

Be cheerful no matter what; pray all the time; thank God no matter what happens.
— 1 THESSALONIANS 5:16 – 18a (MSG)

Anything you want to be good at, you must practice. When you learned how to ride a bike, you endured the pain of falling off, you may have had someone stand along side of you to keep you steady, and you may have even had training wheels, but in order to get past falling and the training wheels, you had to be consistent in learning how to ride. Now, you ride everywhere, and riding has become second nature for you.

If you want a healthy spiritual life, you must be consistent. When you fall off the bike of life, be cheerful no matter what, pray all the time whether someone is standing along side of you or not reminding you to, and thank God no matter what happens, because if Christ removed His training wheels, that means He’s empowered you to get back up again. Be consistent in having a positive attitude and outlook on life. There’s a good side to everything in Christ. Be consistent talking and listening to God through prayer. And remember to always thank God for everything He’s done, is doing and about to do. Allow this kind of consistency to take over and become your lifestyle and second nature to you.

It’s like riding a bike

Heavenly Father, I have decided to be cheerful no matter what. I will pray all the time – seeking Your face. No matter what happens, I thank You in advance, because I know You love me and are working out everything for my good. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

This is my prayer
