Father’s Day has come and gone leaving behind the continual responsibility each man has in their respective community and beyond: to bring up each child with the discipline and instruction that comes from the Lord. It’s fine to teach our children to dribble like Steph Curry or carry themselves gracefully as Michelle Obama, but the best example and guidelines we can pass on to our children is that which comes from the Lord. And the greatest way to teach this is by example. Let them see you praying, helping others, and walking with Christ daily. Your commitment to Jesus will establish their commitment and change the world as we know it.

Heavenly Father, than You for trusting me with Your children to bring them up with the discipline and instruction that comes from You. Thank You for Your strength and wisdom to pass on. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
